<p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Berea</strong>-A 16 years-old-boy of Maqhaka, was arrested by police in connection with sexual offence inflicted upon a Mosotho child aged 4 years-old on 19 January, 2016 was later released to his parents as he is a minor.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Berea police report shows that the victim was playing with her friends near the village forest when the suspected boy arrived at them. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It is alleged that on arrival the suspect took the victim away from other children to other place, undressed her and sexually abused her.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">District commissioner for Berea Senior Superintendent Raphoka Ramachaha confirmed the incident and said they are waiting for the directives from the probation officer as the suspect is the minor.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">"We are deeply concerned about the incident as both the victim and the suspects are relatives," Berea Senior Superintendent Raphoka Ramachaha said.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">He concluded by advising parents not to leave their children alone more especial near awkward places like forest to avoid incideces of sexual harrasment.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Maseru:</span></b><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;"> A Mosotho male aged 25-years-old of Ha Ramalumane Baking, Berea was arrested by Mapoteng police on charges of unlawful firearm, unlawful ammunition and assault common on 31<sup>st</sup> December, 2015.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">According to Mapoteng police report the suspect pointed his brother with a 9mm pistol after they had a quarrel over family matter.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">It is reported that they wrestled for a firearm until it released one bullet to the ground. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The report further shows that the victim managed to disarm his brother and an alarm was made then the villagers came and intervened.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">The suspect was handed-over to the village chief together with the exhibit of a firearm. However, the suspect escaped the lawful arrest from headman’s place and threw himself down the nearby cliffs.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%;">Mapoteng police attended the scene and found him lying below the cliffs with wounds on the forehead and unable to walk.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 19.5px;">It is alleged that on the 26/11/15, the accused who stays with his grandmother aged 77yrs stole the money which was kept by his grandmother as contributions from the society which she is a member too. </p>
<p><span style="line-height: 19.5px;">He was later arrested on the same day but only M28, 700 was found in his possession. Therefore he was found guilty as charged by the court and sentenced 2 years imprisonment or to pay a fine of M8, 000 which he failed to pay. </span></p>

The wife was killed on suspicion that she was having an affair. The couple was at its home around 1630hrs and suspect took his wife’s phone and found photos where his wife was with other men. The husband surrendered himself before Matelile police with .38 special loaded with seven rounds. The suspected is facing charges of murder and an unlawful possession of a firearm. <span style="line-height: 150%;"> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><b>Matelile:</b> A 24-years-old woman was robbed money amounting to M4, 500.0 by two armed men at Ha-Sekheke. The lady was about to close the shop at about 1930hrs when those men arrived and pointed her with firearms demanding money. They took money and fled afterwards.<o:p></o:p></p>

It is reported that the victim was at the said supermarket when those men entered and ordered him and customers to lie down. <p class="MsoNormal"><b>Maseru:</b> Police Mt. Moorosi have arrested 3 suspects and are looking for the other 4 in connection with the murder of a Mosotho male aged 35-years-old of Ha Malibe, Quthing who was suspected of stock theft by the villagers.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">According to police report, 7 suspects; amongst them a complainant aged 41-years-old from different villages, were in search of a stolen sheep and came across the victim at his stock-post where he was staying on September 14, 2015.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">They arrested him and started searching him whereby they discovered meat of a sheep.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Immediately after that, they told him they were escorting him to the headman of Letšeng village.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">On the way, he was assaulted until he fell down and they left him there while some went to report the incident at the village.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A son of complainant aged 17-years-old and a relative aged 30-years-old together with the other suspect were apprehended by police while others are still at large.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">While attending the scene of crime, police discovered the body of the victim lying dead near Beteu cattle post with missing parts such as head skin, left ear, left eye and a tongue.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Police suspect that the missing parts might have been eaten by dogs or wild animals.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Thaba-Tseka: </b>Mashai police have arrested two suspects in connection with 7 horses, and 1 donkey suspected to have been be stolen from Matatiele Ha Mosongoane, South African recovered in their possession at Matebeng Ha Lelingoana on August 31, 2015.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">A Mosotho male aged 20-years-old of Matebeng Ha-Makhooa and the other one aged 19-years-old of the same village were both found in possession of 4 horses during the police raid which was held at Matebeng Ha Lelingoana and Ha Makhooa.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The suspects failed to produce relevant documents when demanded by police and were then arrested.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Police again found 3 horses and a donkey in possession of Mostho male aged 20-years-old of Matebeng Ha Lelingoana.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of stock.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Police discovered that the horses were branded with Southern African brand.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">On the other side, a Mosotho Male age 23-years-old of Ha-Makhooa was found in possession of 9mm star short with (5) rounds serial number rubbed off.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">He was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of firearms.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Quthing:</b> Tsitsong police are investigating a case of sexual abuse where a Mosotho female aged 20-years-old of Makhalong was sexually abused by a Mosotho male aged 17-years-old at her home.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">According to police report, the victim was at home when suspect arrived and asked for drinking water.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">After drinking he left but in a surprise returned after about three minutes and proposed love to her.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The victim denied that but the suspect pushed her to bed, undressed her and raped her.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Though the victim tried to scream for help, the suspect choked her and continued sexually abusing her. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-ZA"> It was alleged that they both had a quarrel which led to the fight. It is alleged that the suspect after stabbing his wife to death drank poison. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-ZA">The husband had been admitted at the hospital on critical condition. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-ZA"> It is alleged that both the deceased and suspect were at the above mentioned bar when a quarrel aroused between then. </span></p>
